Narrative

The University of New Orleans is engaged in two types of collaborative academic arrangements: 1) consortial agreements and 2) articulation and cross-enrollment agreements.

Consortial Agreements

UNO offers a BA in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Cultural and Arts Institutions.  The degree program is offered through collaboration among the nine universities that make up the University of Louisiana System. The program is designed for working adults (at least 25 years old) who have already earned at least 60 hours of college credit and intend on completing a baccalaureate degree.  Students participate in five academic terms per year, with each term being eight weeks in duration, and the program can be completed in two years.  Thirty hours of study are offered jointly by faculty at the nine universities and 30 hours of concentration and elective courses are offered by each institution.

A detailed description of the consortial agreement is provided in Comprehensive Standard 3.4.7:  Consortial Relationships/Contractual Agreements.

Articulation and Cross-enrollment Agreements

The following four articulation and cross-enrollment agreements exist between UNO and local institutions.

Delgado Community College – Articulation Agreement

Nunez Community College – Articulation Agreement

Southern University of New Orleans – Articulation Agreement

These collaborative academic arrangements are guided by and comply with Louisiana Board of Regents, University of Louisiana System, and SACSCOC policies.  The University Administrative Policy 9.2: Evaluation of Educational Programs and Courses offered through Consortial and Contractual Agreements is designed to ensure that all educational programs offered through these arrangements comply with university requirements.  Agreements are reviewed every five years by a committee, although none of the above listed agreements have been in effect for that length of time, so review documentation is not yet applicable.

Table 1 briefly describes compliance with each of the three components of this standard.
